Guwahati: The Indian Instititue of Technology (IIT) Guwahati on Thursday released online the Admit Card / Hall Ticket of candidates who are appearing for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2018 to be held in the month of February.

To download and take printout of the GATE 2018 Admit Card, candidates need to log in the official website and follow the steps given below.

  1. Copy and paste the link www.gate.iitg.ac.in to go to GATE website
  2. Enter the required details to log in
  3. Download and take a printout of your admit card, preferably in colour.

The Indian Instititue of Technology (IIT) Guwahati had on December 09 released online the Examination Schedule of the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2018.

Accordingly, it was announced that the GATE 2018 will be held on February 3, February 4 and February 10, February 11, 2018. The exams will be held in two sessions: Forenoon: 09:00 AM to 12:00 Noon and Afternoon: 02:00 PM to 05:00 PM.

GATE 2018 examinations for 23 papers will be conducted across eight (8) sessions as per the following schedule, the IIT-G said today while releasing the exam schedule.

According to earlier reports, the GATE 2018 results will be announced on March 17, 2018. After the announcement of the result, candidates have to appear for the counseling process. The counseling process will be started in the month of April 2018.

Conducted by the Indian Institute of Science and the IIT, GATE scores are used for admission to MTech/PhD programmes in IITs, IISc and various other institutes. GATE is conducted in 23 disciplines of engineering and science subjects and identifies the candidate’s understanding of a subject and aptitude and eligibility for higher studies.

GATE scores are also used as a criterion for recruitment in government organisations such as cabinet secretariat, and national and state public sector undertakings in India.
