Ta’meer-e-Millat Conference on ‘Basic Problems Of Msques And Madrasdas In Delhi’ was organized here in the Constitution Club under auspices of Ta’meer-e-Millat Foundation. DPCC president J. P. Aggarwal was the chief guest in the conference and AICC secretary Alka Lamba was guest of honour. Inviting the guests to address audience, president of Ta’meer-e-Millat Foundation Mirza Zaki Ahmad Beg, who also convened the program, said we are here to discuss the reason because of which problems of minorities are getting aggravated instead of being solved even after all efforts put in and thousands of vows made to us. The organizers also presented a memorandum to Alka Lamba and J. P. Aggarwal.

Guest of honour Alka Lamba said, “We are indebted to Muslims for their great sacrifices in the independence, progress and development of the country and we can not forget these sacrifices. Had Muslims not offered sacrifices, we would be breathing in independent India today. There have been some mistakes and lapses in the past on part of Congress Party and they neglected Muslims, knowingly or unknowingly, because of which it had to suffer to a great extent. Now we will not repeat the same mistakes and shall raise Muslim issues in party forum, nay, we will get these problems solved.”

Mr. J. P. Aggarwal said the problems highlighted by Ta’meer-e-Millat Foundation are unique and people did not attract our attention toward these issues earlier, acknowledging that these are basic problems that should be solved. “We will not only do our best to solve these problems but also announce from this platform of Ta’meer-e-Millat Foundation that shortly a special cell will be formed for resolving the problems of Mosques and Madrasas in Delhi.”

The memorandum presented to the guests says: government should immediately arrange for drinking water and gas connection in all big and small Madrasas of Delhi where these facilities are scarce, impediments in preparing voter ID cards and other government documents should be removed and all those facilities, especially scholarships and mid-day meal, should also be extended to the Madarasa students that are available to the students of government and private educational institutions. On this occasion, the patron of Ta’meer-e-Millat Foundation Mohammad Arshad Husain thanked all participants, especially Ms. Alka Lamba and J. P. Aggarwal.
