Google launches Ramadan app to help Muslims organise their fast
Tuesday June 23, 2015 11:41 PM, Staff Reporter

Tech giant Google has introduced a digital assistant known as 'My Ramadan Companion' which will help the Muslim users to keep a track about everything related to this holy month.

By accessing the app as well as the online site, one can get to know the sunrise and sunset times, check traffic in the nearby areas, get to know about the closest charity iftar, and also learn recipes to prepare delicacies for breaking their fasts.

In order to keep fasting Muslims in shape during these 30 days, 'My Ramadan Companion' also pushes out regular health and fitness tips.

Depending on your location, the digital assistant shows you relevant content in a card-based user interface (UI), which also include popular YouTube videos, latest Ramadan news and information.

Besides, it also provides you with a list of recommended apps that would wake you up for Suhoor (pre-dawn meal).
