Panaji: The Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (GBSHSE) will declare online the Class 12 or Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) exam results on Sunday May 10 at 4:30 pm.

"The candidates can check their results on the official website of the board, and also by logging in to alternate websites", Jose Remedios Rebello, chairperson of the board, said.

The direct link of the official website is:

The results could be accessed using student’s roll number. They can also take the printout of their scorecards.

A total of 16,000 students appeared for the class XII board exams which began on March 2 and ended on March 19, 2015.

The number of students appearing for the public exams in Goa has gone up after the no-fail policy upto class VIII was introduced under the Right to Education Act (RTE) a few years ago.

The mass promotions explain the unusually high number of students that are awaiting their Class XII results for the first time this year.

Established on 27 May 1975 under the Goa, Daman, & Diu Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board Act, 1975, the Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education is a Corporate Statutory Body.

The GBSHSE is responsible for conducting Secondary School Certificate (SSC) exam and Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) exam. It also controls and monitors all the necessary proceedings regarding the regulation of education in the state.

Last year, less than 12,000 students appeared for the Class XII exam. About 85% of them had cracked the exam.
