Siddharthnagar (Uttar Pradesh):
A government school in Uska Bazar area of Siddharthnagar district in Uttar Pradesh, in the pretext of sending a Muslim student on education tour, allegedly sent him to RSS camp, according to a media report.

According to the report published by New Delhi based Urdu news portal Asia Times, the 8th standard student who has been identified as Gulzar Ahmed was gived an ID card issued in the name of Vijay Kumar and was allegedly kept at the RSS camp from October 10 to 17.

The report further said that Gulzar's father Mahboob Ahmed was told by the school principal on October 08 that the school was sending Gulzar on an educational tour. Mahboob was also told to deposit Rs.450/- as expenses.

"However, instead of taking Gulzar on the educational tour, the school sent him to RSS camp held in a college campus", the portal quoted Dr. Nafees Akhtar, a local, as saying.

The report said Vijay Mishra, Rajan and Arjun Paswan of the government school also stayed with Gulzar at the RSS camp.

Dr. Nafees said they have brought the matter to the notice of District Minority Officer and have also lodged a complaint with the Nagar Palika Chairman and local police demanding a probe into the entire matter.

The incident came to light amid the reports that some Hindutva outfits allegedly affiliated with RSS are running 'Ghar Wapsi' campaign in different parts of the country.
