Madinah (Saudi Arabia): In cooperation with the Ministry of Islamic Affairs in Madinah, Simaya Group has put on display rare manuscripts of the Holy Qur’an at an exhibition inaugurated by Madinah Gov. Prince Faisal bin Salman early this week.
The 1,500sq.m. exhibition area is carefully designed to tell the history and importance of the Holy Qur’an.
Supported with a documentary on the holy book, the exhibition is embedded with audio and visual aides that depict the salient features of the Holy Qur’an, its history, interpretation, readings and its influence on man, family, society and country.
The show displays a set of rare collection of precious manuscripts of the Holy Qur’an from the King Abdul Aziz Library in Madinah and from the Library of the Prophet’s Mosque.
In addition, a piece from the cover of the Holy Kaaba, over 140 years old, is also one of the exhibits at the show.
The show, which is being held at the Exhibition Center, will be open to public in the mornings and evenings on weekdays till 9 p.m. On Fridays it will only be open in the afternoon until 9 p.m.
