Chennai: Tamil Nadu State Board of Secondary Education (TNBSE) declared online the results of Class 12 i.e. HSC +2 exam 2016 on its official website as per the schedule time today i.e. Tuesday May 17 exactly at 10:30 am.
The Tamil Nadu Class XII or Plus Two or +2 board exam results 2016 are available on the official website "tnresults.nic.in" of Tamil Nadu state board of secondary education.
The results can also be viewed on www.dge1.tn.nic.in or www.dge2.tn.nic.in.
Apart from this, the results can be checked in schools. At the district Level, students can approach the National Informatics Centres (NIC) functioning at the district headquarters for checking the results.
According to board sources, Aarthi and Jaswanth - two students of the same school i.e. Sri Vidya Mandir in Uthangarai, have topped the Tamil Nadu Plus 2 exams 2016. They have scored a total of 1195 marks each.
Pavithra G. from Tiruvallur and Velupreetha from Namakkal came second and third with a total of 1194 and 1193, respectively.
Districtwise, Areeba Zainab, daughter of C. Muzaffar Basha, who studied at Hasanath - e- Jaria Higher Secondary school, Ambur managed by Ambur Muslim Educational Society, has come out with flying colours by securing highest mark in total in Ambur. She scored a total of 1179 marks.
In the examinations held in March this year where 8.3 lakh students appeared for it across the State, the pass percentage of girls was 94.4 and that of boys, 87.9.
This year, 4.19 lakh girls and 3.41 lakh boys took up the exams. It is to be noted that the number of centums in Physics fell drastically from 124 the previous year to five. Similarly, in Mathematics too, the number of centums dropped from 9,710 to 3,361 this year.
With 4,341 students, accountancy accounted for the most number of students scoring a centum in a subject, this year.
Directorate of Government Examinations, Tamil Nadu had earlier said in a message displayed on its website that the HSC +2 Examination Results Expected on 17th May 2016 between 10:31 - 11:00 Hrs.
Students are requested to keep all their necessary board exam details ready such as the official roll number, candidate name and Date of birth handy.
Follow the simple steps provided below to easily access their Tamil Nadu class 12th board result 2016
- Visit the official website tnresults.nic.in.
- Click on TN Board 12th Class Results 2016.
- Enter and submit your Registeration No.and date of birth.
- Click on 'Get Marks'
- Check your class 12th HSC results once it appears on the screen.
- Download and then take a printout of the same.
The Tamil Nadu Higher Secondary Examination 2016 were conducted from March 04, 2016 to April 01, 2016.
The Government of Tamil Nadu have constituted a new Board for School Examination viz "Tamil Nadu State Board of School Examination" by merging the existing two separate boards (1) Board of Secondary Education and (2) Board of Higher Secondary Examinations.
