AMP Mega Job Fair for police kin in Aurangabad on Saturday November 18

After the success of Thane Job Fair in January 2017, in association with Thane Police Commissionerate and Directorate of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (DSDE&E), Association of Muslim Professionals (AMP) has joined hand with Aurangabad Police to organize the city’s first Mega Job Fair Saturday November 18, 2017.

As one of its endeavours and as an objective of giving back to the society, AMP has been organizing and conducting Job Drives and Job Fairs across India since last five years to provide a platform to connect job seekers and job providers, thereby facilitating an avenue of earning livelihood.

Association of Muslim Professionals (AMP) is a group of Professionals from various fields such as Business, Corporate, Bureaucracy, Academics, Medicine, etc. and has been working relentlessly for the Social, Educational and Economic Upliftment of the under-privileged since last 10 years.

During this short period, the organisation has grown to more than 100,000 professionals and students who are scattered all across India. AMP also have some members abroad who are connected with the organisation through social media platforms.

Till date the AMP has conducted 16 job fairs, providing job opportunities to more than 30,000 candidates with more than 4000 being placed in various companies at 10 different towns and cities across the country.

"Considering AMP’s widespread network, corporate connections, experience and expertise, many NGO’s and social organizations across the country have been pursuing AMP to help them conduct Job Drives and Job Fairs to which it has gracefully obliged cutting across the barriers of caste, creed or religion with the aim of providing equal opportunities for all", Aamir Edresy, AMP President, said.

"AMP is a group of Muslim professionals. But it has always risen above the community barriers and provided unquestioning support to all in the society with the sole aim of promoting equality and brotherhood", he added.

Just as other Job Fairs of AMP, the Thane Job Fair as well was a resounding success, which saw participation of 55 companies.

Of more than 6000 candidates, including the relatives of Police Personnel, who came to the fair 662 candidates got on-the-spot offers, and 1634 were shortlisted in the 1st Round. The average salary on offer ranged from Rs.8000 to 20,000 per month.

"The Aurangabad Mega Job Fair is also expected to have a good turnout with about 50 participating companies and expecting more than 1000 job seekers which includes the relatives and acquaintances of Police Personnel", Edresy said.

“Working with and for the police department is always a privilege for us, as we are grateful for the opportunity to give back to not just the society in general but also specially to our dedicated Police Personnel who work tirelessly day in and day out to secure our daily lives", he said.

"This humble contribution of ours is very small compared to the wonderful job these selfless sons and daughters of the country are doing for our country and the countrymen. AMP salutes our country’s, and especially our state’s police force.

"Moreover, the coming together of various organisations like F. Gheewala HR Consultants, Dept. of Employment & Self Employment in Aurangabad, Maharashtra and AMP for the Job Fair, bodes well for our secular and multicultural Society", he said.

The Job Fair will be conducted on 18th November, 2017 at Aurangabad Police Public School, N10, CIDCO, Near TV Centre, Aurangabad – 431003, Maharashtra, from 11:00 am to 04:00 pm.

A team of AMP experts led by its board member Razak Shaikh will travel from Mumbai to Aurangabad to assist the local team for the smooth organisation of the event. He will be assisted by the local AMP Aurangabad Chapter members and volunteers from the Aurangabad Police Force.

"Such initiatives will provide an ‘Equal Platform’ to all and help eradicate unemployment in all sections of the society and pave the way for a progressive society", Razak Shaikh said.

The AMP has appealed people in Aurangabad to take advantage of this wonderful and free opportunity, and promote the same amongst their acquaintances and contacts so that maximum people may be benefitted by the noble endeavor.
