Patna: Former Bihar Deputy Chief Minister and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader, Tejashwi Yadav Friday tore into the Bhartiya Janata Party’s communal politics asserting that the slogan ‘Hindus in danger’ is raised to hide the grave economic situation of the country.
Addressing an election rally for India Alliance candidates in Madhepura, Araria, Supaul and Saharsa, Yadav said how can Hindus be in danger when all key posts of the country are held by them.
“The Prime Minister of the country is of Sanatan Dharma, the President is of Sanatan Dharma, the three Army Chiefs are of Sanatan Dharma, all the Chief Ministers are of Sanatan Dharma, all the Governors are of Sanatan Dharma.
"Yet they say that Sanatan is in danger. These people are actually swindlers and want to rule by dividing the society”, he said to a huge applause.
“The fact is those who say that Sanatan Dharma is in danger actually want to hide that the present and future of 60 percent of the youth of the country is in danger due to the record breaking unemployment.
"Farmers and agriculture are in danger. Industries are in danger. Sisters, daughters and women are in danger. Education and medicine are in danger. Majority of the population is in danger due to inflation and poverty. But the Prime Minister will never talk about these issues. He will talk only about Hindus and Muslims”, he said.
“Remember, it is not Hindus who are in danger, but PM Modi's chair”, he said as the crowd cheered.
At another occasion, Tejashwi said, "Four things are impossible. Sun rise in the west, fishing in the desert, planting trees in the sky and Modi ji talking about issues like jobs, love, peace and brotherhood."
Doubling down RJD's attack on BJP's communal politics, former Bihar Chief Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav said:
"There are approximately 1.5 lakh words in the Hindi language, and including technical words, there are approximately 6.5 lakh words in all branches of the study. But the Prime Minister Narendra Modi's most favourite words are:
"But Prime Minister Modi's favourite words are: Pakistan, Qabristan, Shamsan, Hindu-Muslim, Masjid, Mandir, Fish-Mughal, Mangalsutra, cattle and buffalo", Lalu said.
"The above list is till the first two phases of the lections. By the 7th phase, a few more words may be added to this list", Lalu Yadav wrote on social media platform X.
"Issues like jobs and employment, poverty and farmers, inflation and unemployment, development and investment, students-science-youth etc. have all been missing from the Prime Minister's dictionary", Lalu said.
Undeterred by criticism against them, the BJP leaders led by PM Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, are continuing to indulge in communal and divisive politics in their election rallies.
Addressing election rallies for Narayan Rane in Ratnagiri and Sanjaykaka Patil in Sangli, Amit Shah called INDIA bloc “Aurangzeb fan club” which cannot run a government in the country.
In a veiled attack on Indian Muslims, Uttar Pradesh CM Adityanath addressing an election rally also used Mughal Emperor Aurangzebto criticize Congress manifesto.
Prime Minister Modi, whose party was served a notice by the Election Commission of India after he called Muslims infiltrators and those who have more children, in a speech laced with communal overtones used 'vote jihad' to target INDIA bloc.
“(The opposition alliance) is asking Muslims to do ‘vote jihad’. This is new because we have so far heard about ‘love jihad’ and ‘land jihad’,” Modi said addressing a rally in Gujarat, referring to a string of Islamophobic conspiracy theories, before emphasising to his audience why they needed to be fearful.
“I hope you all know what the meaning of jihad is and against whom it is waged,” he added.
