Beijing: A Chinese high school teacher has been suspended after he forced all the girls in his class to kiss him on his cheek before he gave them their diplomas.
Zhang Runhua of the Tuqiao High School in Linxia county of Gansu province was suspended Wednesday after a whistleblower posted on the internet that Zhang held the diplomas and gave them to the girls only if they kissed him on the cheek or allowed him to kiss them, the Shanghai Daily reported.
The whistleblower also posted photographs on the internet that showed Zhang kissing a girl and other girls kissing him.
The Linxia Education Bureau suspended Zhang Wednesday and sent investigators to probe the incident.
According to one of his colleagues, Zhang is an excellent teacher.
