Friday December 20, 2013 8:10 PM, IANS

The government has filed a review petition on the Supreme Court judgment reinstating Article 377 that criminalises homosexuality, Law Minister Kapil Sibal said Firday.

"The government has filed the review petition on (section) 377 in the Supreme Court today (Friday). Let's hope the right to personal choices is preserved," Sibal said in a comment on Twitter.

The apex court Dec 11 set aside the Delhi High Court verdict of 2009, which had decriminalised consensual sexual relationship between adults of the same gender.
