Mumbai: Providing a breather to about 1.5 million students, the Maharashtra state HSC board announced that the Higher Secondary Certificate (class 12) or HSC exam results will be declared on Thursday.
"The results will be available at 11 am on May 30," said Sarjerao Jadhav, Chairperson of the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education.
Results will be available online on the website- mahresult.nic.in after 11 am, he said.
Jadhav had on Monday said that they will be meeting in a day or two to finalise the date of the results announcement.
The Maharashtra HSC board had earlier announced that the results would be declared in the last week of May.
When the CBSE class 12 results were declared yesterday, lakhs of students of the Maharashtra HSC students also logged on to the internet and searched for the results.
"I remained hooked to the internet for hours in search of my results or any information about the exact date. However, could not find anything perfect", Sumeet Doshi, a student said while talking to ummid.com.
More than 14 lakh students across three streams namely science, commerce and arts appeared for the exam that was held between February 21 and March 25, 2013.
The students can also access their results by logging on to the board's official Web site at http://msbshse.ac.in along with mahresult.nic.in.
To access their scores on the website, students have to provide their Roll Number.
A provisional mark-sheet will also be provided which can be downloaded from the site.
The exam was conducted in Pune, Mumbai, Nagpur, Nashik, Amravati, Aurangabad, Kolhapur, Latur and Konkan districts of Maharashtra.
The delay in the result announcement was expected due to the boycott of evaluation of Higher Secondary Certificate examination answer sheets by junior college teachers.
