New Delhi: A single window facility will be set up in all the districts of Delhi to grant political parties permission to conduct poll-related activities, and there will be no curbs on holding public meetings, it was decided in an all party meet Friday.
"It was decided there will be single window for taking permission whether you have to conduct a meeting or organise a procession," said a leader of a political party who attended the Election Commission meet Friday.
The poll panel also decided there would be no restriction on holding any meeting.
"A person will just have to take permission for holding a meeting from the election commission," the party leader said.
Leaders of all the parties, including the Congress, Bharatiya Janata Party and Aam Aadmi Party were present in the meeting.
These parties had expressed displeasure over the manner in which model code of conduct was imposed on publicity campaigns.
A total of 2,855 violations of the model code of conduct by various parties have been reported in Delhi, with the BJP leading with 156.
The capital is set to go to polls Dec 4.
