The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) is all set to declare SSC (class 10 or class X) results today in the afternoon at 01:00. The results will be online exactly at the scheduled time and students can have access to their scorecards by entering their exam seat numbers in the space provided for the purpose.

Maha SSC Result 2014

"The results of the eight boards across the state namely Mumbai, Pune, Aurangabad, Kolhapur, Nagpur, Amravati, Nashik and Latur would be declared on 17th June at around 1 pm", Maharashtra School Education Minister Rajendra Darda had informed the council Friday.

The results will be available on the board website and four other websites at the given time. To distribute the load, the board has decided to put the online SSC results on five different websites. They are:
http://mahresult.nic.in
http://mh-ssc.ac.in
http://msbshse.ac.in
http://sscresult.mkcl.org
http://rediff.com/exams

The students need to enter their exam seat numbers to see their results. The students will also be able to take the printout from the website.

The Printed Marksheet will be given to students later on at the respective schools.

The students can also request their results through SMS. For this, they are required to type MHSSC followed by <seat no> on their mobile phones and send to: 57766.

Those who wish to apply for rechecking and revaluation of their marks must apply for it by attaching a true copy of their marksheets.

Last year, the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education that conducts the examination had announced the results on June 7. In 2012, the SSC results were declared on June 13. However, the results were further delayed this year and had caused worry among the students.

The delay is said to be because of some unavoidable technical glitches, and also as most of the staff were earlier busy in electioneering.

Interestingly, a court order had already warned the respective boards not to delay the examination results due to elections.

Apart from retirement of seven of their senior officials, there were several goof ups in the student pre-lists and hall tickets which had caused the delay.

In Mumbai region alone, there were 28 SSC students who had received the same seat numbers. This was revealed only after the students began registering for FYJC online admissions.

The students have been issued new seat numbers and will be able to examine their answer sheets after the announcement to ensure there has been no mix up.

Almost all the Indian states have declared the results of Class X and Class XII results in the last month of May. The Maharashtra board too had declared the Class XII results on June 02.

The board had earlier hinted that the results would be declared on June 10. Consequently, the students hooked to the internet, on PCs, laptops and their cells, only to see the blanks on board websites.

About 1.7 million students from more than 20,000 schools in the 36 districts of the state had appeared for the Secondary School Certificate (class 10) or SSC exams held in February/March this year.

In all, 17,37,114 candidates from across 20,507 schools had appeared for the examination. The exam was held at 3,812 centres.

Maharashtra Board 10th exam was conducted between 3rd March to 27th March 2014. MSBSHSE SSC exams 2014 were held in two shifts in a day , one of them was 11:00 AM to 02:00 PM and the other one being 03:00 PM to 06:00 PM.

In last year's record, 14, 99,276 students appeared in the SSC examinations 2013 from all over the Maharashtra, and out of which 12, 51,528 passed, constituting 6,69,005 boys and 5,90,523 girls making pass percent of 82.24 and 84.90.

The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary Education, Pune came into existence on 1st January, 1966, as per the Maharashtra Act No.XLI of 1965 (called as Maharashtra Secondary Boards Act 1965) to regulate certain matters pertaining to secondary education in the State of Maharashtra.
