Patna: The successful result in JEE-Advance has turned Brijesh Kumar Saroj of Uttar Pradesh ecstatic, especially after the kind of admiration this son of a cloth-mill worker has started receiving - from Aamir Khan and Rahul gandhi, among others..

He was one of Anand Kumar's Super 30 students, who cracked JEE-Advance, the second stage of the Joint Entrance Examination and the common entrance examination for engineering admissions to the IITs and ISM, Dhanbad.

A resident of Pratapgarh, Uttar Pradesh, Saroj's joy knew no bounds when Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi and Bollywood star Aamir Khan congratulated him on his success and offered him financial assistance for higher studies.

Brijesh's father is a low-paid worker in a cloth mill in Surat and the family has faced acute hardship. However, once at Super 30, he got the opportunity to concentrate on his studies without bothering about anything.

According to Anand Kumar, it feels a good gesture that eminent personalities are taking so much interest in the success of students from underprivileged sections.

"It will work as big motivation for them. Union minister Dharmendra Pradhan and University of Tokyo have also sent congratulations on the success of Super 30 students.

"In fact, there is a stream of congratulatory messages, thanks to the hard work of students," he said.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav has also invited Brijesh to felicitate him.

Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra said on her facebook that "Anand Kumar is truly a man with a plan... For many years now, he has brought his special brand of education to those in need and has also brought hope where none existed".

"Congratulations to you Mr. Kumar and your students... Another 25 placed in IITs this year. What a remarkable achievement for you and the 'Super 30' institute," she added.
