Jamia Millia Islamia students' forum elects 09-member team for new academic session

New Delhi: Gearing up for the campus activism for the new academic year, members of Jamia Students' Forum (JSF) announced a new team after its core committee meeting held on Tuesday September 6, 2016.

The newly-appointed team comprises nine members including Convenor, Co-Convenor, General Secretary, three joint secretaries, treasurer and two media coordinators.

Md. Khalid Hasan has been elected as Convenor and Upasna Kaul as the Co-Convenor. Sahil Ahmad elected as the General Secretary however Imran Kranti, Aas Mohammad and Sadaf Nasar took charge as the joint secretaries for the Jamia Students' Forum. Imran Khan has been appointed as the media coordinator, along with Meeran Haider and Sultan Quraishi as the treasurer.

Jamia Students' Forum (JSF) was founded in March 2014 by the students belonging to various faculties and centres of Jamia Millia Islamia with an aim to bridge the gap between the students and university administration by taking up genuine issues of the students belonging to any department.

The JSF has been continuously organizing relief camps, protests, candlelight march etc. to seek out the solution of various burning issues of our Country/around the globe.

“Over the years, the JSF has emerged as a strong organisation in the Jamia Millia Islamia and worked for welfare of Jamia students on the idea of Jamia Millia Islamia University founding fathers whose aim were “to create a platform to serve the humanity mainly by empowering deprived people” Md.
