Himachal Pradesh exit Polls

All seven Exit Polls which aired their projetcions on Himachal Pradesh elections Thursday said the ruling Congress party is facing humliating defeat in the hill state.

In Himachal Pradesh, the BJP is projected to win more than 50 seats, way above the majority mark of 35 in the 68-seat Assembly.

According to Today’s Chanakya Exit Polls, BJP will win 55 seats in the 68-seat Himachal Pradesh Assembly, while the Congress is likely to win only 13 seats — a big drop from its winning performance in 2012. The halfway mark is 35 seats.

India Today-Axis predicts 47-55 seats for BJP and 13-20 for Congress in Himachal Pradesh whereas Zee News-Axis predicts 51 for BJP and 17 for Congress.

News Nation predicts 43-47 for BJP and 19-23 for Congress whereas News X predicts 42-50 for BJP and 18-24 for Congress in Himachal Pradesh.

NDTV Poll of Polls for Himachal Pradesh gives BJP 49 seats and Congress just 18.

Polling was held in Himachal Pradesh on November 09. The state recorded its highest polling with 74 per cent of voters exercising their franchise.

At present, the Congress has 35 and the BJP 28 MLAs in the House. There are four independents while one seat is vacant.

Counting of votes will be done on Decmber 18, 2017.
