Kolkata: The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations (WBJEE) Board on Monday released the official notification of the WBJEE 2018. Accordingly, WBJEE 2018 will be held on April 22.
According to the notification released on the board's official website wbjeeb.nic.in, WBJEE 2018 will be held on Sunday April 22, 2018 in two shifts.
Students planning to appear for WBJEE 2018 should bookmark December 19, 2017 in their calendar as the day when WBJEE 2018 registration process will start, and the board will start receiving online the WBJEE 2018 Applications.
The last date to apply for WBJEE 2018 is January 19, 2018, the norification said.
Last date of to download confirmation page is January 24. Registered candidates will be able to make correction if any from January 26 to January 28.
The application fees for WBJEE-2018 is Rs 500 plus the bank’s service charges as applicable.
For admission to various Engineering courses, candidates must have qualified Intermediate or 10+2 exam pattern with Physics and Mathematics along with any one of Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/Computer Science/Computer Application in regular class mode.
To appear for WBJEE 2018, students should score at least 45% marks in the above subjects. As per rules, 05% relaxation has been given to students from the reserved category.
For Pharmacy courses, candidates must be Intermediate or Class 12 pass with Physics and Chemistry along with any one of Mathematics/Biotechnology/Biology/Computer Science/Computer Application as compulsory subjects in regular class mode.
Candidates must at least be 17 years as on December 31, 2018. There is no upper limit. However, for Marine Engineering course, even though minimum age will be the same, the maximum age is 25 as on December 12 next year.
Admit Card and WBJEE 2018 Results
The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations (WBJEE) Board will released the Admit Card / Hall Tickets of the registered candidates on April 10, 2018.
The WBJEE 2018 results will be declared on June 05, the official notification said.
WBJEE is a common entrance examination conducted for taking admission to undergraduate programmes in Medical, Dental, Engineering and Technology, Pharmacy and Architecture in universities, government colleges and self-financed institutes.
