New Delhi:
Slamming politicians like Asaduddin Owaisi, Azam Khan and “Muslim clerics” who speak the same language as used by the communal forces, General Secretary of jamiat Ulema Hind Mahmood Madani on Saturday said they are the worst enemies of Indian Muslims.

“By speaking in the same language as used by the leaders representing communal forces in the media and on television channels, they are actually providing fodder and helping the communal forces to fulfill their sectarian agenda.

“They are actually the worst enemies of Muslims”, Mahmood Madani said while addressing a meeting of Jamiat e Ulema Governing Council held in New Delhi.

Hitting out at All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) Chief Asaduddin Owaisi and senior Samajwadi Party leader Azam Khan, the two leaders known for their controversial statements, Mahmood Madani said they fall in the trap laid down by the communal forces by using the same abusive and emotionally charged language.

Advising the Muslim youths to maintain peace and restraint at any cost, Mahmood Madani said, “A systematic effort is underway to disturb peace and harmony in the country. Under such a situation we need to be extra cautious and maintain calm and restraint at any cost.”

He said the issues and problems facing the country remain unsolved, and it is hence vicious efforts are on to disrupt peace so that attention is diverted from the real issues.

Mahmood Madani also expressed concern over the government’s lack of interest towards brining anti-riot law despite vociferous demands by various organizations and different sections of the society.

Madani also demanded from the government to revoke awards conferred on the officers who were involved in framing Muslims in cooked up cases.
