Dr Nowhera Shaikh I Day Speech

Hyderabad: Dr. Nowhera Shaikh, Founder and Chief of All India Mahila Empowerment Party (AIMEP), while congratulating fellow Indian citizens on the eve of the 72nd Independence Day, recalled the sacrifices made by freedom fighters, and at the same time urged all sections of the society to work for creation of a just, vibrant and developed nation.

“For every Indian ‘Independence Day’ is a day to remember all those people who fought the mighty foreign power of Britishers for our freedom and independence of our beloved motherland", Dr Nowhera Shaikh said in her touching message.

"Many people lost their lives, many were imprisoned, and many were harassed and suffered for our freedom. There are numerous unsung heroes of our motherland who fought and lost their lives for the independence of our motherland", she said.

Dr. Nowhera Shaik, a renowned human right activist, had last year founded All India Mahila Empowerment Party (AIMEP) to uplift and empower women of the country and to establish a new, just and vibrant nation.

Dr. Nowhera Shaik is also a successful businesswoman who heads an international conglomerate of companies which is engaged in a diversified field of businesses from jewelry to textile to real estate. She is the CEO and Managing Director of Heera Group of Companies which has its presence in fifty countries across the globe.

“All India Mahila Empowerment Party’ is a result of realizations in the past of engagement in issues concerning women", she said in her Independence Day message.

Stating that she has entered active politics with a sole agenda to serve the country Dr. Nowhera Shaik, who hails from Hyderabad, said, "MEP is not here for power. MEP is here to make sure that the voices of oppressed seeking justice reach the power corridors and those ruling the governments.”

"We stand for a change, and aim at initiating a social movement to bring the social change based on the motto ‘Justice for Humanity’", she said urging people at large to be a part of India's largest movement towards women empowerment and creation of a just, vinbrant and developed nation.

“Politics is not something to be afraid of. Politics is to bring justice to everyone", Nowhera Shaik said in her Independence Day speech, addressing particularly the woman, poor and the weaker section of the society.

In her message on the eve of the Independence Day 2018, Dr. Nowhera Shaik also expressed her concern about the rising tension on the Indo-Pak border and cross-border terrorism. She blamed the central government's policies for its failure in maintaining ceasefire on the border, due to which there is an increase in numbers of causalities at the border.

At the same time, she applauded the Indian soldiers and said, “I salute all our soldiers who are dedicating their life for the service of the motherland.”

Dr. Nowhera Shaik, known as a woman of compassion, courage and vision, said, "Empowering women is a mean towards the empowerment of the larger society and the nation."

Addressing the youths of the country. Dr. Nowhera Shaikh in her Independence Day message said, “Youths are the future of our country and to raise them with better education is our duty.”

Raising concern over the plight of children Dr Nowhera Shaikh while stating that MEP's one of the key aims is to provide early education to children, said, “What you need is a good government and devoted politicians who are ready to give up everything for the motherland.”
