Maharashtra TET 2018: Download your Admit Card before July 15

Mumbai: The Commissioner Maharashtra State Council of Examination has released today i.e. Monday July 02 the Admit Card or Hall Ticket of the candidates who have registered to appear for Maharashtra Teacher Eligibility Test (Maha TET 2018).

The official notification released by the Maharashtra State Council of Examination said that it has released the Admit Card and Hall Ticket of registered candidates on July 02, 2018. "All registered candidates should download their Maha TET 2018 Admit Card from the official website till July 15 before the commencement of the exam", the notification said.

Steps to Download Maha TET 2018 Admit Card

  • Click here to go Maha TET official website: mahatet.in.
  • Log in using Registration ID and password.
  • Click on appropriate link to download and take the printout of the Maha TET 2018 Admit Card.

Candidates should note that the downloaded Admit Card should have your name, photo and other personal details properly printed on it. The candidates should also check that their exam centre is also properly mentioned in the Admit Card. In case of error, you should immediately contact the examination department.

The Maharashtra Teacher Eligibility Test (Maha TET 2018) is scheduled to be held on Sunday July 15, 2018. The MAHA TET 2018 was earlier planned for July 08. But, it was postponed by a week due to CBSE UGC NET July 2018.

"The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has scheduled UGC NET July 2018 on the same day. Hence to avoid inconvenience to the teachers, who are appearing for UGC NET and Maha TET both, we have re-scheduled the exam", Sukhdev Hire, Commissioner Maharashtra State Council of Examination, said in a signed statement.

Accordingly the Maharashtra State Council of Examination was also extended the last date to apply till May 22, 2018.

The registered candidates need to appear for two papers based on their chosen option. Maha TET 2018 Paper 1 will be held from 10:30 to 01:00 and Maha TET 2018 Paper 2 will be held 02:00 pm to 04:30 pm. The examination council will release the Maha TET 2018 Answer Keys after the exams.

The Maharashtra TET is held in Marathi, English and Urdu three languages since 2014. Maha TET consists of two papers. Paper I is for candidates aspiring for posts of primary teachers, whereas Paper II is for those wanting to be secondary school teachers.

As per the Right to Education Act, 2009, all states have to mandatorily conduct TET for recruitment of teachers to all types of schools. Only candidates who have qualified the TET will be eligible for teaching jobs henceforth.
