Hajj 2019 Application Process: Haj Committee of India (HCOI), the apex body handling Hajj affairs in India, will start through its website hajcommittee.gov.in the application process and online filling of Haj Application Form (HAF) for Hajj 2019 from Thursday October 18, 2018.
Haj Committee of India (HCOI) Chief Executive Officer Dr Maqsood Khan on Thursday said that the Haj application process for 2019 is being started about a month before than the last year so that pilgrims get more time for preparation.
Online filling of Haj Application Form (HAF) for Hajj 2018 was started on November 15, 2018. A total of 175,025 pilgrims from India performed Hajj in 2018.
How to fill online Application - Haj 2019
Muslims planning to apply for Hajj 2019 through Haj Committee of India can follow the steps given below.
- Go to Haj Committee of India website by clicking here: hajcommittee.gov.in.
- Search for 'Haj - 2019 Related Downloads' section in the left of the home page.
- Click on 'Download Haj Application Form 2019' link.
- The Haj Appication Form 2019 should appear on your screen in PDF form.
- Fill it, submit it and take a printout for future reference.
Pilgrims should note that as of now the Haj Committee of India has fixed the last date to apply for Hajj 2019 as November 17, 2018. Pilgrims should also note that along with Haj Application Form (HAF) pilgrims should also submit a copy of passport valid till January 31, 2019.
The Haj Committee of India CEO further said that the schedule of Qurrah - draw for selection of Haj pilgrims, Hajj 2019 flight schedule and other details will be announced later on.
"The 2019 Haj Action Plan, and all dates and schedule are being decided keeping in mind the Youme Arafa 2019 - Arafat Day 2019 or the Haj Day 2019 on August 09, 2019 (tentative)", the Haj Committee of India said.
Coinciding with Eid al Adha, Haj is the annual ritual to commemorate the sacrifices made by Prophet Ibrahim, his wife Hager and his son Prophet Ismael. The likely date of Wuqoof e Arafat - the key ritual of the Hajj, is August 09 or 10. As the Islamic calendar is based on sighting of moon, the final date will be decided once the new moon of the month of Dhul Hijjah is sighted. Last year, Wuqoof e Arafat was on August 31, 2017.
The Haj Committee also said that Haj Application Form HAF) can be downloaded from its website and can also be obtained free of cost from State/Union Territory Haj Committees.
"A booklet containing guidelines and instructions of Haj 2019 will also be provided free of cost", the committee said. The Haj Committee of India will accept forms online as well as offilne or in person.
