Allahabad: The Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board (UPBEB) has rescheduled the Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET 2018) and Admit Card download dates following the reports of alleged paper leak of BTC exam.
According to the new schedule, Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET 2018) will now be held on November 18, 2018 instead of November 04, 2018.
Also, the UPTET 2018 Admit Card whihc was supposed to be released today will now be released on October 30, 2018, the Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET 2018) said in its latest exam notification.
"UPTET examination will be held on November 18 and the UPTET 2018 Admit Cards for the state level examination will be made available from October 30," Kulbhushan Chaturvedi, UPTET Regulatory Officer, said.
The UPTET 2018 Answer Key will be released on November 25, 2018. Once released, the UPTET 2018 Admit Card and Answer Key can be downloaded from the official website upbasiceduboard.gov.in.
The UPTET will be conducted in two batches. The first batch exam will be held from 10:00 am and will continue till 12:30 pm. The second batch exam will be held from 2:30 pm and will continue till 5:00 pm.
The first batch exam iss for those candidates who have applied for teacher roles of Class 6 to 8. The second batch exam is meant for those candidates who have applied for teacher roles of Class 1 to 5.
The online registration for UPTET 2018 had started on September 18, 2018. The last date to apply was initially October 04, 2018. It was however extended till October 07, 2018 after server reported technical glitches and many candidadtes could not submit their applications in time.
According to reports, more than 22.5 lakh candidates have registered for the UPTET Teacher Recruitment 2018 exam. The number is about 12.5 lakh more than the UPTET 2017 when around 9.76 lakh candidates had appeared for the exam.
Teacher Eligibility Test known as TET, conducted as per the NCTE guidelines, is an Indian entrance examination for teachers. The test is mandatory for getting teaching jobs in government schools from classes 1 to 8.
