JEE Main Score 2019

JEE Main April 2019 Result and Score: The National Testing Agency (NTA) is set to declare on JEE Main official website jeemain.nic.in the JEE Main April 2019 result anytime in the next couple of days.

According to the schedule announced by the National Testing Agency (NTA), JEE Main April 2019 result should be declared on or before April 30, 2019. However, some reports claimed that JE Main April result announcement can be delayed by few days because of score and JEE Main percentile calculation.

Reports also said that on the basis of JEE Main 2019 Score, JEE Main All India Rank (AIR) list will also be prepared. This is also the first time that JEE Main has been conducted twice in the year. And, for preparation of JEE Main All India Rank (AIR), a proper calculation of JEE Main score is also essential. This is why, reports said, the entire process is taking more time than expected earlier.

By the time the National Testing Agency (NTA) declared JEE Main 2019 result, candidates, especially those who appeared in JEE Main January 2019 as well as JEE Main April 2019 exams, should learn how their JEE Main score and JEE Main percentile will be calculated.

JEE Main January 2019 Result Calculation

Since, JEE (Main) January-2019 Paper-1 first attempt was conducted in multi-shifts, NTA scores were calculated corresponding to the raw marks obtained by a candidate. The calculated NTA scores for all the shifts/sessions were merged and declared on 19th January, 2019. This comprises of the four NTA scores for each of the three subjects (Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry) and the total in Paper-1 of JEE (Main)–January 2019.

JEE Main April 2019 Result Calculation

Similarly, JEE (Main)-April 2019 Paper-1 was also conducted in multi-shifts and hence NTA scores will be calculated corresponding to the raw marks obtained by a candidate. The calculated NTA scores for the Raw Marks for all the shifts/sessions will be merged for further processing.

The four NTA scores for each of the candidates in Paper-1 of JEE (Main)–January 2019 as well as for the April 2019 will be merged for compilation of result and preparation of overall Merit List /Ranking. For the candidates who appeared in both the attempts, best of the two NTA scores (total) will be considered for further processing.

In case of a tie, i.e. when two or more candidates obtain equal Total NTA Score in JEE(Main)-2019, inter-se merit of such candidates shall be determined in following order:

If the resolution is not possible after this criterion, candidates will be given the same rank.

JEE Main All India Rank 2019

The NTA scores of both the examination and rank of Paper-1 of JEE (Main)–2019 for all candidates who appeared in January 2019 as well as in April 2019 shall comprise of the four NTA scores obtained by the candidate in first attempt, four NTA scores obtained in second attempt, and four NTA scores for those appeared in both the attempts (best of the two Total NTA scores) along with the status of those who qualify for appearing in JEE (Advanced)–2019 provided and subject to other conditions of eligibility being met. The rank shall comprise All India Rank (AIR) and All India category rank.

Only the All India Rank (AIR) is used for admissions through Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB)/Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) to NITs/ IIITs/ CFTIs/ SFIs/ Others, while other ranks are for information purposes.
