AISSEE 2024: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has postponed the All India Sainik School Entrance Exam 2024 (AISSEE 2024-25) and has also extended the last date of application.
The National Testing Agency said it has deferred the AISSEE earlier scheduled to be held on January 21, 2024 because the date clashed with other national level entrance exams.
“Due to clash between some major national examination and All India Sainik Schools Entrance Examination (AISSEE) 2024 being held on 21st January, 2024, and difficulties experienced due to the same, it has been decided to reschedule AISSEE-2024 on Sunday January 28, 2024 across the country”, the NTA said.
The NTA has also extended the last date of application.
“It has also been decided to extend the last date for submission of online application form for All India Sainik School Entrance Examination (AISSEE) – 2024, enabling the aspiring candidate(s) to apply for the said exam”, the NTA said.
As per the AISSEE original schedule, the last date of application was December 16. It has now been extended till Dec 20, 2023.
The NTA opened the correction window on Dec 21. The last date to make correction is Dec 24, 2023.
“Candidates will be able to make corrections in any of the details submitted by them in their Exam Application Form online through the correction window through the official website, during the period when the correction window will be made available”, the NTA said in a notification.
“They will also be able to replace the documents already uploaded with the correct documents, in case there has been an error in uploading”, the NTA said.
• Eligibility for admission to Class VI: Candidate should be between 10 and 12 years as on 31.03.2024. Admission for Girls is open in Class VI only in all Sainik Schools.
• Eligibility for admission to Class IX: Candidate should be between 13 and 15 years as on 31.03.2024 and should have passed Class VIII, from a recognised school, at the time of admission.
• Exam fee: Rs 500/- for SC/ST and Rs 650/- for all others
Scheme/duration/medium/syllabus of examination, list of Sainik Schools and their tentative intake, reservation of seats, exam cities, passing requirements, important dates, etc., relating to the exam are contained in the Information Bulletin hosted on the official website.
