

UGC NET 2026 Answer Key: The National Testing Agency (NTA) is releasing the UGC NET June 2026 Provisional Answer Key on its official website 'ugcnet.nta.nic.in' today i.e. Sunday August 16, 2026.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) had conducted the UGC NET 2026 exam from June 22 to June 30, 2026 at various exam centres across India.
After successfully conducting the exam, the NTA will be releasing today i.e. Sunday August 16, 2026 the UGC NET Answer Keys on its official website.
In a message posted on its official X handle, the NTA said the UGC NET 2026 Answer Key will be published on August 16, 2026.
The NTA said the UGC NET 2026 Answer Key will be published along with the provisional answer keys of the NTA Joint CSIR UGC NET and ICAR AIEEA (PG) and AICE (PhD) 2026 examinations.
"The provisional answer keys for UGC-NET, CSIR-NET and ICAR AIEEA (PG) & AICE (PhD) 2026 will be published on 16 August 2026 on NTA’s website", the NTA said in the message.
The NTA has not confirmed the exact date and time to release the UGC NET June 2026 Answer Key. It will however be released any time today.
After releasing the answer keys, the candidates will be given a chance to raise objections.
"Candidates will be able to view the UGC NET Provisional Answer Keys, and raise challenges within the notified window. Detailed instructions will be provided at the time of publication", the NTA said.
The NTA will also releases UGC NET Question Papers and candidates response sheet along with the answer keys.
Candidates may login and click the link to display the UGC NET June 2026 question papers and candidates responses attempted.
Candidates should note that the Answer Key released today will be provisional. The UGC NET Final Answer Key will be published after the NTA experts will analyse the objections raised by the candidates.
The NTA releases the Final Answer Keys on the same day or few days before declaring the UGC NET Result.
The NTA has not confirmed the exact date and time to declare the UGC NET June 2026 result. It will however declare the result within a week after the last date to challenge the provisional answer key.
The NTA has been entrusted by the University Grants Commission (UGC) with the task of conducting UGC-NET, which is a test to determine the eligibility of Indian nationals for ‘Assistant Professor’ and ‘Junior Research Fellowship and Assistant Professor’ in Indian universities and colleges.
The UGC provide Research Fellowships for research under expert guidance of faculty members/scientists working in University Departments/ National Laboratories and Institutions in various fields of Science and interdisciplinary areas of research.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducted UGC – NET June 2026 for ‘Junior Research Fellowship’ and eligibility for ‘Assistant Professor’ in 83 subjects in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode.
Joint CSIR-UGC NET Fellowships are accepted in Universities/IITs/Post Graduate Colleges/Govt. Research Establishments including those of the CSIR, Research & Development establishments of recognized public or private sector industrial firms and other recognized institutions. Only bonafide Indian Citizens are eligible for the test. Joint CSIR-UGC NET Fellowships are accepted in India.
There is no end period for the validity of the qualifying certificate of Assistant Professor. The award of Joint CSIR-UGC NET Fellowship is for a fixed tenure and does not imply any assurance or guarantee for subsequent employment by CSIR-UGC NET to the beneficiary.
