Maharashtra NEET UG 2026 Counselling Begins; Steps, Link to Apply
Online registration for Maharashtra Counselling 2026 for NEET UG (Common Application for MBBS and BDS courses) has started from today i.e. Thursday August 06, 2026
Maharashtra NEET UG Counselling 2026: The Maharashtra CET Cell has started through its official website 'medical2026.mahacet.org' Online Registration for NEET UG 2026 Counselling conducted for Admission in Health Science Courses Medical (MBBS) and Dental (BDS).
This is unlike the last year when common application and registration are invited for admission in all Health Science Courses including MBBS / BDS / BAMS / BHMS / BUMS / BPTh / BOTh / BASLP / BP&O. For the NEET UG 2026 Counselling, however, the Maharashtra CET Cell has asked registration and online application from the students seeking admission in Medical (MBBS) and Dental (BDS) courses.
Maharashtra NEET UG 2026 Counselling Schedule
As per the schedule released on the official website, the online registration and application process for Maharashtra NEET UG Counselling 2026 started from today i.e. Thursday August 06, 2026. The last date of registration for Maharashtra Medical Admission Counselling 2026 has been fixed as August 12, 2026 up to 11:59 PM server time.
Along with the NEET UG 2026 counselling schedule, the Maharashtra CET Cell has also published the admission notification, list of documents required, eligibiligty criteria and detailed Information Brochure guiding the participating candidates about the online counselling for admission in undergraduate medical courses.
Candidates are advised to read carefully Information Brochure before starting registration.
Maharashtra NEET UG 2026 Counselling: Registration Steps
- Go to the official website: "medical2026.mahacet.org".
- Click on 'New Registration' in Important Dates section of the Home Page.
- Enter Mobile Number, Email ID, Password and click on register button.
- Proceed further to complete registration process.
"The candidates should upload all the requisite original scanned documents", the CET Cell said in the admission notice.

- Payment of Registration Fees through Online Payment Gateway: August 06 to 13, 2026 up to 11:59 PM server time
- Uploading of colored scanned copy of Original Requisite Documents on portal as per the list: August 06 to 13, 2026 up to 11:59 PM server time
- Document Verification through Online mode/Scrutiny Center: August 07 to 14, 2026
- Publication of Registered candidates list (for Group A - MBBS and BDS): August 15, 2026
- Publication of Provisional Merit List (for Group A - MBBS and BDS): August 15, 2026
- Submission of Grievances, if any: August 16 to 17, 2026
- Publication of Final Merit List (for Group A - MBBS and BDS): August 18, 2026
- Publication of Seat Matrix for Group A - MBBS/BDS Only: August 18, 2026
- Online Filling of Preference Form Group A - MBBS/BDS Only: August 19 to 22, 2026 up to 05:30 PM
- Declaration of CAP Round - 1 Selection List Group A - MBBS/BDS Only: August 23, 2026
- Physical Joining and Filling of Status Retention Form with All Original Documents & Requisite Fees by DD/Cheque: August 24 to 28, 2026
“The Schedule for CAP Round(s) for all Health Science courses will be declared in due course”, the CET Cell said.
Key Points to Remember
- The Candidates should download and carefully read the NEET UG 2026 Information Brochure of Maharashtra State, including the instructions given herewith below, before filling up the online Registration Form.
- The Candidate should upload all the requisite original scanned documents.
- It will be the sole responsibility of the candidate to upload all the necessary documents and also familiarize herself/himself with online preference filling system for admission to Health Science Courses.
- The Candidate should also ascertain her/his eligibility for admission to the various courses before filling up the registration form.
- Candidates belonging to reservation category must claim so in the application form before submitting the same. Candidates claiming reservation should ensure that they have all the necessary documents ready at the time of registration i.e Caste Certificate, Caste Validity certificate and Non Creamy Layer Certificate ( Wherever applicable)
- PWD candidates should have claimed the quota at the time of NEET. They should submit Online PWD certificate issued by any one of the 16 boards.
- NRI candidate should register on Foreign Candidate Registration Portal before August 11, 2026 for verification of candidate's eligibility. The subsequent schedule will be as above.
- NRI candidates should note that they are eligible only for 15% Institute Quota as per merit.
- Candidates claiming EWS should submit EWS certificate valid for Academic Year 2026-27 and issued in Maharashtra State Government format only. The required format is given in the information brochure. Central Government Format will not be considered as valid.
Maharashtra CET Cell conducts MBBS, BDS, BUMS and counselling for other medical and dental course after the declaration of NEET UG result. Candidates should note that Merit List is prepared on the basis of the NEET rank, score and marks. The Selection and Seat Allotment List are released later based on the rank of students in the Merit List.
