Srinagar: Internet connectivity on mobile phones and dongle devices were snapped in Jammu and Kashmir Sunday.
Officials said the measure was taken in a bid to prevent the spread of rumours in the wake of communal violence in Kishtwar in Jammu region three days ago that has left two people dead.
Service providers were tight-lipped about the development.
