New Delhi:
As many as 41,827 cases have been pending in five district courts in
the national capital for over 10 years, an official report said.
As per the Delhi government’s law and justice department, 202,493
civil matters and 720,807 criminal cases were pending in Tis Hazari,
Patiala House, Karkardooma, Rohini and Dwarka district courts till
July 1.
The report, which was presented in the Delhi assembly Friday, said
that altogether 602,749 cases were pending for the past two years
and 200,942 matters were pending for the last five years.
