Abu Dhabi: A charity in the UAE has begun distributing sacrificial meat in 60 countries on the eve of the Eid-ul-Azha, it was announced Tuesday.

The Red Crescent Authority (RCA) in coordination with the UAE embassies abroad has launched the initiative to boost solidarity with friendly countries, especially those suffering from natural disasters, the RCA said.

Saleh Mousa Al Tayie, acting deputy secretary general for relief affairs at the RCA, said the project aims to provide help to the needy. He said over 150,000 people will benefit from the project.
