Three girl students among 4 killed in road mishap

Kannur: Three school students were among four killed and two injured when a bus rammed into a bus shelter near Thaliparamba in the distirct today.

Enraged over the incident, locals damaged the bus, police said.

The deceased have been identified as Khader (65) of Kozhikode, Rizwana (15), Khadeeja (15) and Kunjamina (15), all Class X students of a local school.

Though it was a holiday for the school today, the girl students were on their way to attend a special class, police said.

The bus was coming from Payyannur to Kannur when the mishap occurred.
