New
Delhi: India has 90.75 lakh working children in
India in the age group of 5 to 14 years, parliament was informed
Wednesday.
This was based on the National Sample Survey Organisation (NSSO)
of 2004-05, Minister of Labour and Employment Mallikarjun Kharge
told the Rajya Sabha.
This figure stood at 1.26 crore according to the 2001 census, he
said in a statement.
