Aligarh: The Bihar
government has offered 250 acres of contiguous land for an Aligharh Muslim University (AMU) centre, becoming the fourth such
state after Kerala, West Bengal and Maharashtra.
The Bihar government has identified the land in Kishanganj
district, along the highway to Bahadurganj.
A team led by AMU Vice Chancellor P.K. Abdul Azis will soon visit
Kishanganj to select a suitable site and discuss other relevant
issues with the district officers.
According to Aziz, Maharashtra has also decided to establish an
AMU centre in the state.
The AMU centres in Murshidabad in West Bengal and Malappuram in
Kerala have already become functional.
