New Delhi: As
Children's Day was celebrated across the country Monday, Prime
Minister Manmohan Singh said India's 40 crore children are the
country's most valuable assets.
"The 40 crore children of our country are our most valuable
assets," the prime minister said in a message at a function
organised by the women and child development ministry where
national awards for children were presented.
"In their well-being, lies the future of our country," he said.
The prime minister also extended his "love, affection and
blessings" to the children and expressed his "best wishes" for
those working for children.
