Islamabad: As many as
150 Pakistani parliamentarians have received anonymous SMS
messages that threatens they will be killed if they don't quit,
Interior Minister Rehman Malik said.
Malik said Saturday the messages were sent through SMS to the
parliamentarians, which included senators.
He said two people have been arrested in this regard from Larkana
in Sindh province.
"It is strange that how the culprits managed to get the contact
numbers of VIPs," Associated Press of Pakistan quoted him as
saying.
Malik said the matter is being probed.
Pakistan has a bicameral parliament consisting of the Senate with
100 seats and the National Assembly with 342 seats.
