Journalist among nine held for terrorist links

Police have arrested nine people, one of them said to be a
journalist with an English daily here, for alleged links with
terrorist outfits, police sources said.
Residents of Jayachamarajendra Nagar in north Bangalore from where
five of the nine were arrested late Wednesday told reporters
Thursday that one of the men arrested was a reporter in an English
daily, another a software engineer and a third a student of
computer science. They did not know details of the other two.
Four others were arrested late Wednesday from Hubli, about 450 km
north of Bangalore, sources said.
Interrogation of the suspects is on. A statement is expected from
the Bangalore city police commissioner in this regard.
