Tehran: Iranian warships are heading to the
Mediterranean Sea to convey the message of "peace and friendship"
to the regional countries, a navy commander said Saturday.
The battleships passed through the Suez Canal for the second time
since the successful Islamic Revolution in 1979, commander
Habibollah Sayyari said.
The navy hopes to convey the message of "peace and friendship" to
the regional countries and "show the might of the Islamic Republic
of Iran", Xinhua reported quoting the state-run IRNA news agency.
