Delhi government plans to hire 1,000 Urdu teachers

New Delhi: The Delhi
government plans to appoint around 1,000 Urdu teachers , an
official said Monday.
"The government has sent a proposal for appointing around 1,000
Urdu teachers to directorate of education ," said the official.
Besides, the government will recruit 100 Urdu language teachers
and the process has already begun, the official said.
"This was decided in a meeting where Education Minister (Arvinder
Singh Lovely) expressed his displeasure over the vacant seats of
Urdu language teachers in schools," the official said
There are 21 Urdu medium schools in the capital, which Lovely said
will be upgraded to class 12.
It was also decided to acquire around 2 lakh ultra modern desks
for the state government-run schools.
