Seven die in Pakistan school roof collapse

Islamabad: Seven students were killed and over 35 injured Monday when the roof of their school collapsed in Pakistan's Punjab province, said officials.

The incident took place in Shakargarh city of Narowal district, Online news agency reported.

The locals along with a rescue team pulled out bodies and injured children from the debris of the private school.

Eyewitnesses said construction work was being carried out with heavy machinery adjacent to the school building, which triggered the roof collapse.
