Mumbai/New Delhi: Reports of moon sighting are coming from different parts of India Thursday on 29th day of Ramadan. While some of the cities have already announced tomorrow as Edi Al Fitr, in some other cities meetings of Hilal committees are underway to take a final decision.
In Maharashtra's Nanded town, it is announced on loudspeakers that tomorrow i.e. Friday August 09,, 2013 will be the Eid Al Fitr, Zamir Khan, a TV reporter said while talking to ummid.com.
In Malegaon also local Hilal Committes have decided to celebrate Eid Al Fitr tomorrow i.e. Friday August 09, 2013.
In Mumbai also announcments have been made to celbrate Eid Al Fitr tomorrow.
"Based on confirmed reports of moon sighting, it is declared that Friday August 09, 2013 will be the Eid Al Fitr", Abdus Salam Salafi, president of Jamiat Ahle Hadees, Mumbai said while talking to ummid.com
Reports of moon sighting are also coming from Sholapur, Beed and some other parts of Maharashtra. In Kalyan near Mumbai, local moon committee has declared tomorrow as the first day of the new month Shawwal, announcing tomorrow to be Eid Al fitr.
Imtiyaz Rehmani of Khankah-e-Rehmaniya confirmed moon sighting in Patna and some other places of Bihar. Bihar Hilal Committees therefore decided to celebrate Eid Al Fitr tomorrow i.e. August 09, 2013.
Reports of Eid moon sighting are also coming from Jammu & Kashmir, Allahabad in Uttar Pradesh, Bangalore in Karnataka.
In Hyderabad also based on confirmed moon sighting reports, local HilalCommittees have announced to celebrate the Eid Al Fitr tomorrow August 09, 2013.
In som other parts of Mumbai and New Delhi, Hilal Committee meetings are underway. They are confirming the reports coming fro diffrent parts of the country before announcing the Eid day.
"We are in the midst of a meeting. We are judging the moon sighting reports which are coming from different parts. A decision will be taken soon", Burhanuddin Qasmi of Markaz-al-Maarif told ummid.com.
