London: Nearly half of the cemeteries in Britain would run out of burial space within the next 20 years.
According to a BBC report Friday, there would be no burial space in 44 percent of the British cemeteries in the next two decades and a quarter of them would be full within a decade.
Britain's Ministry of Justice said the issue was under constant review, the report said.
Experts across the country have urged the government for a change in law to allow the graves that are 75 years old or more to be reused.
"Any changes in the way in which graves and cemeteries might be managed need to be considered carefully and sensitively," BBC quoted a justice ministry spokesman as saying.
