2014 IIT JEE-Advanced results to be declared Thursday June 19

IIT JEE Advanced results are to be announced Thursday on June 19, as per an official notification on the website. As per the available official information, the candidates will need to insert their roll number in the given window on the JEE (Advanced) website ( to access the result.

Once the JEE Advanced results are declared, the candidates shall start with the online filling of choice for various courses. To begin on June 20, this process will spread over a period of five days.

The candidates who clear the exam will be eligible for admissions to undergraduate courses at the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) (Bhubaneswar, Bombay, Delhi, Gandhinagar, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Indore, Jodhpur, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras, Mandi, Patna, Roorkee, Ropar and Varanasi) and Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad.

The candidates who qualify JEE Advanced and wish to join the B.Arch courses (Codes: G5101 and R5101) will have to qualify an Architecture Aptitude Test (AAT-2014), which shall be held at seven zonal IITs on June 26.

JEE (main) declared 1.5 lakh students to be eligible for JEE (Advanced) all over India, including the reserved categories. Out of which, approximately 1,900 students from Tricity appeared for JEE (Advanced), held across country last month on May 25.

Rajesh Mrigwani, assistant director, Akash Institute, said In 2013, Tricity had three students amongst top 100 All Indian Ranking in the JEE (Advanced). Overall 349 made into the common merit list of IITs. "We are expecting more students in prestigious top 100 national ranking this year," he said.

Hardik Verma, who topped in JEE (main) in Chandigarh and eyeing good rank in JEE (Advanced) too, said he had his fingers crossed before the big day.

A total of 9,700 seats are available for candidates seeking admissions in various institutes listed above.

For instance, IIT Bombay has 880 seats, 851 seats in IIT Delhi, 1,341 seats in IIT Kharagpur, 838 seats in IIT Madras, 827 seats in IIT Kanpur, 1065 seats in IIT Roorkee, 1,090 seats in IIT (BHU) Varanasi and 962 seats in ISM Dhanbad. These seats include courses of difference discipline at undergraduate level.
