Slovenia: Faila Pasic Bisic, a women's rights activist, has been nominated by Solvenia to represent its Social Liberal Party in the upcoming European Parliament elections on May 25.
She is now the second headscarfed Muslim women to seek election into the European Parliament after Greece's Anna Stamou, accrording to World Bulletin.
Anna Stamou, a member of Greece's Eco Green Party, stated her struggle to end discrimination against Muslims in her country as a reason for her candidacy.
Slovenia is allocated eight seats in the European Parliament.
