Mumbai: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) on Sunday declared the 2014 Civil Services Mains exam results on its official website, and also displayed the schedule and location of the Personality Test.
"On the basis of the Result of the Civil Services (Main) Examination, 2014 held by the Union Public Service Commission from 14th to 20th December, 2014, the candidates with the Roll Numbers displayed on the UPSC website have qualified for the Personality Test for selection tothe Indi an Administrative Service, Indian Foreign Service, Indian Police Service and other Central Services (Group ‘A’ and Group ‘B’)", the official release said.
"The Personality Test for these candidates is likely to commence from 27th April, 2015. Personality Tests will be held in the Office of the Union Public Service Commission at Dholpur House, Shahjahan Road, New Delhi-110069. Detailed program for the Personality Test will be uploaded on the Commission’s website http://www.upsc.gov.in", it added.
"The First batch of e-Summon letter will be made available on the Commission’s website latest by 18.04.2015. The Second and Third batches of the e-Summon Letters would be uploaded subsequently.
"The Qualified candidates who are unable to download their e Summon Letters from the Commission’s Website at least 5 days before the commencement of the said Personality Test/Interview should immediately contact the Office of the Commission through on Phone Nos. 011- 23385271, 011-23381125, 011 23098543 or Fax No. 011-23387310, 011-23384472.
"No paper Summon Letters will be issued for the Personality Test/Interview by the Commission", the official release said.
The result was announced following the directives to the UPSC from the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) to go ahead with the declaration of the 2014 Civil Services Mains exam based on the Supreme Court order on Jat reservation.
The UPSC normally declares the Civil Services Mains exam results in the month of March. It however deferred this year's results following the Supreme Court verdict quashing reservation to the Jat community.
The UPSC conducts the Civil Services Examination (CSE) for recruitment to Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Police Service (IPS), Indian Revenue Service (IRS) and Central Group A and Group B services.
The format has three stages - Preliminary examination which consists of two objective-type papers (General Studies and Aptitude Test), the Main examination which consists of nine papers of conventional (essay) type followed by the Personality Test of interview).
