Bhaderwah (Jammu & Kashmir): Students of a government college on Friday held protest and blocked the Doda-Kishtwar highway, alleging the district administration failed to provide adequate infrastructure in the college.

The students of Thatri government college raised slogans against the district administration and blocked the highway for three hours.

The protesting students alleged that the administration has failed to provide a building to the college and it was being operated from a school building since its inception a few years ago.

"The administration identified the land seven months ago but so far no progress has been made to acquire the land.

There is no building for our college and it operates from a government school building," Shaista Tabasum, a student said.

The students called off their protest after officials from the district administration assured them of looking into their demands.
