Bishkek: Some 75 male and female memorizers from various centers, schools and Qur'anic courses participated in the competition held by the International Organization for Holy Qur'an Memorization in Bishkek, capital of Kyrgyzstan, on Saturday.
The gala contest was held in collaboration with Religious Administration of Muslims of Kyrgyzstan and Ehssan Charitable Association.
In an honoring ceremony on this occasion, a number of speakers lauded the efforts being exerted by the international organization in serving the Holy Qur'an in many countries of the world.
They also commended the efforts being made by Saudi Arabia under the leadership of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman in serving Islam and Muslims and propagating the teachings of the Holy Qur'an to the citizens of Islamic nations.
The ceremony was attended by Saudi Deputy Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan Abdulmohsen Al-Fuhaid.
