Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala Power & Devaswoms Minister Kadakampally Surendran has accused the RSS - the right win Hindu extremist group whose political arm is the BJP, of conducting illegal activities in temples across the state.

The minister posted in his official Facebook page a comment saying, "he receives several complaints about the right wing organisation".

"Every day I am getting a lot of complaints about the illegal activities of the organizations, including the RSS, in the temples under the TDB board", his post read.

He also urged for government's intervention to stop the illegal activities by the RSS in the state temples.

Surendran's demands are significant because only about a week ago a 27-year-old BJP worker died when a country bomb which he was allegedly making exploded at his residence in Koothuparambu, according to the local police.

Deekshit was seriously injured in the blast and died while being rushed to a hospital, they said.

The roof of the house where he was "making" the bomb was destroyed in the blast, they further said.
