Finally, the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) declared online the results of the much awaited RRB NTPC CEN No 03/2015 for all regions on their respective official websites. Candidates can access the official websites

Once on the above website, candidates need to search their region and then click on the appropriate link to check their results.

The results of RRB NTPC have been declared based on the performance in the 1st Stage Examination which was computer based Test. Aspirants have been provisionally shortlisted to appear in common 2nd Stage examination CBT.

Anil Kumar Saxena, Addl. Director General (PR), informed that about 54 lakh candidates appeared for the examination. “As many as three lakh candidates have passed the first stage of the exam,” he said.

When asked why did the Board took so long to release the results, Saxena said unlike bank PO exams, there are various categories and the number of applications were high.

“We have 21 zones and each one has to prepare its own list keeping in mind the nine categories and various reservations. So we decided to release it on the same day to avoid any confusion,” he said adding that the board is not planning to release any other NTPC recruitment notification in the near future.

The Common second Stage Examination (CBT) for various posts of NTPC (Graduate) categories is likely to be held in January/ February, 2017. Thereafter, RRB of each zone will organise the third level of test (psychometric test or typing test) depending upon the category.

Over 93 lakh candidates had applied for the exam held at 21 RRB centres. Out of them some 54 lakh candidates appeared for the online exam - said to be the world's largest.

A total of 18,252 vacancies were announced by the Railways Recruitment Board this year. About 4.8% - 2.7 lakh candidates - are expected clear the Stage 1 exam. The board has announced that about 2,73,780 candidates (15*18,252) will be called for the Stage 2 examinations. The selection will be based on merit.

While the examination at 13 centres were held as per the announced schedule, it was rescheduled due to administrative reasons at eight centres which included Allahabad, Pune, Delhi and West Bengal.

  • Type in the required details like your Registration number, date of birth etc in the provided space.
  • Click on the 'Submit' button
  • Download and take a printout of the results once it appeared on your screen.

The exams were conducted through CBT mode which turned out to be the world’s biggest online examination as the board received close to 93 lakh applications. However, amid several irregularities and difficulties ranging from exam delays and wrongdoings involved, only around 55 lakh candidates finally appeared for the exams.

The successful candidates will be recommended for the posts of Commercial Apprentice (CA), Traffic Apprentice (TA), Enquiry-cum-Reservation Clerk (ECRC), Goods Guard, Senior Clerk-cum-Typist, Junior Accounts Assistant-cum-Typist (JAA), Assistant Station Master (ASM), Traffic Assistant and Senior Time Keeper.

The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) was established in 1988. It is responsible for the appointment of new employees to work for various posts at Indian Railways. It calls eligible candidates for recruitment of various Technical, Non-Technical and Para Medical Posts in Group A, B, C and D Cadres through Online Application / Offline Application Format.
