New Delhi: Burhan Hussain topped the merit list of successful candidates who cracked the Central Armed Police Forces (Assistant Commandts) 2015 Examination held on July 12, 2015 and the interviews for Personality Test held in January, 2016, according to the final results declared by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) Tuesday.
Burhan Hussain with roll no. 063269 has topped the merit list containing a total of 224 candidates who have been recommended for appointment to the posts of Assistant Commandants (Group A) in the Central Armed Police Forces viz. Central Reserve Police Forc (CRPF), Border Security Force (BSF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) and Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB).
"Appointments to the various services shall be made by the Government according to the number of vacancies available and subject to the candidates fulfilling all the prescribed eligibility conditions/provisions contained in the Rules for the Examination and verifications, wherever due, being completed satisfactorily. Allotment to various services shall be made according to the merit obtained and preference of services given by candidates", the UPSC said in its official announcement.
Besides Burhan Hussain, four more Muslims have made it to the final merit list. They are: Shahasha K S (merit list no. 14), Aarif Hussain (merit list no. 128) Aaqib Mir (merit list no. 159) and Imran Khan (merit list no. 173).
