CBSE CTET February 2016: Register online before January 04

New Delhi: The online registration process for the ninth edition of the Central Teaching Eligibility Test (CTET) February 2016 to be conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has begun. Interested candidates need to apply online before January 04, 2016.

According to the information available from the CBSE, online registration for the CTET February 2016 began on December 30, 2015 and ot will end on January 04, 2016.

Candidates can apply online for the exam (Paper-1 and Paper-2) following the link: "ctet.nic.in"

The exam will be held on February 21, 2016 and the CBSE will release the admit cards for the same from January 25, 2016 onwards.

The exam was compromise of two papers. Paper 1 for candidates who wish to opt classes 1 to 4 and Paper 2 for candidates who wish to teach Classes 6 to 8. The questions paper was compromise of objective in nature; there were multiple options for every question.

As per the time table released by the CBSE, the exam to be conducted for selection of candidates as teachers for Classes 1 to 8 will be held on February 21, 2016 from 9:30 am to 12 pm for Paper 2 and from 2 pm to 4:30 pm for Paper 1.

Qualification in CTET or TET (Teacher Eligibility Test ) conducted by states is mandatory for candidates to be appointed as teachers for class 1 to 8 in government schools.

CTET is conducted twice every year by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). The last exam was held in September 2015 and results were declared in October.

The validity period of CTET qualifying certificate for appointment is seven years from the date of declaration of its result for all categories.
